Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Ads)

Location: United States; roles based at the San Mateo, California headquarters are onsite Tuesday through Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday.

Salary: $259,030–$311,430 USD annual base pay, plus potential equity compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and implement machine learning solutions for ad-ranking algorithms.
• Build large-scale recommendation models and personalized advertising experiences.
• Develop deep learning models for performance advertising use cases.
• Write specifications for new features and product improvements.
• Collaborate across teams to build products with a community-first approach.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and translate relevant research into production products.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing and building scalable machine learning solutions for real-world production use cases.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Experience initiating and facilitating complex technical decisions across multiple teams and organizations.
• Strong user-focused, creative, strategic, and problem-solving approach.
• For US-based roles, candidates must have appropriate US work authorization; certain visa categories may not be supported.

Nice to have

• Experience training, deploying, and integrating transformer-based models.
• Advanced degree in a related field.
• Experience communicating with relevant industry and technical communities.
