TL;DR

Platform Devops Engineer (Igaming): Designing, building, and operating critical platform services for applications and customer experiences with an accent on managing and optimizing CDN, Cloud Edge functions, DNS, WAF, and IIS-based applications. Focus on ensuring high availability, scalability, and security across environments and transitioning workloads from on-premise infrastructure to cloud-native platforms.

Location: Hybrid work from home model - 3 days in the office in Malta and 2 days at home.

What you will do

• Manage and optimize CDN, DNS, WAF, edge functions (NodeJS), and IIS applications for high reliability and security.
• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, focusing on scalability and GitOps practices.
• Build automation workflows using Ansible and Git to improve deployment velocity.
• Support the shift from on-premise to AWS cloud-native workloads, introducing edge-first strategies.
• Collaborate with container platform teams to integrate workloads with Kubernetes.
• Define and track metrics, logs, and traces across platform services to proactively detect issues and optimize performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, technical degree beneficial.
• Proven hands-on experience with AWS services, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Git/GitOps workflows, Kubernetes, Configuration management (Ansible), IIS application management, and Scripting (JavaScript/NodeJS).
• Strong understanding of platform reliability, networking fundamentals, and application delivery.
• Experience in implementing secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure solutions.
• Knowledge of observability pillars and proactive monitoring practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• AWS Cloud practitioner or higher.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and ITIL best practices.
