What you will do

• Evaluate system elements, define item boundaries, and devise comprehensive cybersecurity concepts.
• Perform threat analysis and risk assessments (TARA) in compliance with ISO/SAE 21434.
• Define and manage security requirements and determine risk treatment approaches for self-driving platform features.
• Collaborate with engineering and safety teams to mitigate security and safety risks throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Partner with safety teams to evaluate interactions between cybersecurity and functional safety standards.
• Maintain and update compliance with relevant standards across multiple projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or similar.
• Thorough understanding of cybersecurity threat and risk assessments for embedded or other computer systems.
• Experience producing work products defined by industry standards or regulations.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including secure communications and security technologies.
• Ability to create and negotiate targets and requirements with engineering teams.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Mountain View, California.

Nice to have

• At least 5 years of experience in a security role delivering software and/or hardware.
• Deep understanding of security best practices and experience designing security features.
• Experience writing security requirements for engineering teams.
• Experience working with ISO/SAE 21434 certification and/or UNR 155 type approval.
