TL;DR

Senior Engineering Manager (AI Labs, Insurtech): Driving the execution of AI projects and delivery across the engineering organization with an accent on translating strategic objectives into actionable plans and ensuring strong execution. Focus on fostering a high-performing team culture, managing dependencies, and ensuring alignment with stakeholders to achieve predictable timelines and high-quality output.

Location: This position can work out of the NYC office regularly with much of our leadership with flexibility.

Salary: 250-285K

What you will do

  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of engineers through mentorship, feedback, and career development.
  • Ensure architectural and code quality standards are met through design and code reviews.
  • Refine requirements with product management and design to translate them into actionable engineering plans.
  • Drive operational excellence by monitoring system health, ensuring reliability, and managing technical debt.
  • Establish and enforce repeatable processes for sprint planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Inspire a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of engineering experience with at least 4+ years in engineering management or technical program management roles.
  • Proven ability to lead engineering teams through complex projects with multiple dependencies.
  • Strong project and program management skills; comfortable with Agile/Scrum/Kanban frameworks.
  • Strong technical foundation with experience in Python, Data pipelines, and cloud platforms.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Open to sponsoring candidates currently in the U.S. who need to transfer their active H1-B visa
