DevOps Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Zurich, Switzerland; working from home up to 40%

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain automated deployment workflows with Ansible and GitLab CI/CD.
• Define and improve monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and runbooks to strengthen operational stability and incident response.
• Develop automation and integration scripts using PowerShell, Python, Perl, Bash, and CMD, working with XML, JSON, and XSL.
• Operate monitoring and job scheduling platforms including Patrol, Elastic, Grafana, and Airflow.
• Own production services across deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, recovery, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, root-cause analysis, post-incident reviews, escalation, mitigation, and service restoration.

Requirements

• DevOps experience across the software delivery lifecycle and production systems.
• Strong Python and shell scripting skills with practical GitLab CI/CD experience; Ansible and infrastructure-as-code experience is highly valued.
• Solid understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience operating production systems and containerized application platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift, including deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Splunk, or similar tools in containerized environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, Linux/Windows, TCP/IP networking, DNS, firewalls, TLS, and containerized platforms.
• Clear communication skills for explaining technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• German and/or Spanish language skills.
• Experience with Ansible and infrastructure-as-code.
