DevOps Engineer (Infrastructure as Code)

Location: Bern or Zurich, Switzerland; work from a hirify.global office or home office

hirify.global provides telecommunications and IT infrastructure services, including the TelcoCloud IaaS layer.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD for the TelcoCloud IaaS layer.
• Continuously develop the pipeline framework and collaborate across disciplines with other teams.
• Engineer and operate enabler services including identity and access management, secrets, backup, monitoring, and HA clusters.
• Perform Linux system engineering covering virtualisation, logging, and automation.
• Support system operation and monitoring and participate regularly in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Work in an agile DevOps team, often pairing on stories to build and share knowledge.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science from a university, ETH, or UAS, or equivalent professional experience.
• Confident use of Git and advanced knowledge of Python and Bash.
• Strong command of Linux systems, including RHEL/CentOS and Ubuntu.
• Basic IT knowledge of networking, LDAP, virtualisation, and other enabler services.
• Strong documentation skills and a structured, thorough approach to work.
• Very good spoken and written English.
• Self-organisation, initiative, and a results-oriented mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet and Ansible.
• German language skills.
