Senior IFRS Accountant / Financial Controller (Crypto Sportsbook)

What you will do

• Own IFRS accounting and financial reporting for assigned international legal entities.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing, ledger accuracy, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Coordinate statutory audits, tax reviews, and consolidated group audit support.
• Participate in tax planning, corporate restructuring, and liquidation processes.
• Review contracts for accounting and tax implications, identify financial risks, and collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, banks, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure timely financial documentation and improve, optimize, and automate accounting and reporting processes.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in IFRS accounting, financial reporting, financial control, or external audit.
• Strong practical understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with international companies or multiple legal entities.
• Understanding of corporate taxation, VAT, and withholding tax principles.
• Experience with financial closing, reconciliations, and audit processes.
• English at B2 level or higher, with confident written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical thinking, ability to handle complex or non-standard financial tasks, and a proactive, independent, solution-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a strong sense of ownership.

Nice to have

• Big 4 or other international audit firm background, or a combination of external audit and in-house finance experience.
• Experience with European jurisdictions, particularly Cyprus.
• ACCA, DipIFR, CPA, or a relevant certification in progress.
• Experience with corporate restructuring or liquidation procedures.
• Knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, and 1C accounting systems.
• Experience with banking compliance and KYC procedures.
