Data Science Manager (AI)

Location: Madrid, Spain; additional locations in Barcelona and Gijon. Flexible hybrid work model.

What you will do

• Lead client engagements and projects within the Data & AI for Supply Chain Center of Excellence.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams of data scientists, engineers, and business consultants.
• Oversee project execution and ensure AI-driven solutions deliver business value.
• Develop supply chain solutions involving forecasting, inventory optimization, fulfillment, logistics, manufacturing, and network optimization.
• Build client relationships, communicate technical insights to senior stakeholders, and support business development.
• Define project scopes, develop commercial proposals, and identify new opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data & AI or related fields, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven experience leading teams, client engagements, and business development efforts.
• Proficiency in English.
• Strong technical foundation in Python, R, SQL, operational research, simulation, machine learning, AI, and optimization algorithms; mastery of every listed technology is not required.
• Experience with generative AI, including LLMs, AI-driven scenario generation, synthetic data modeling, and workflow automation.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP and their AI/ML services.
• Familiarity with supply chain tools such as o9, Blue Yonder, SAP IBP, or similar solutions.
• Experience with large-scale data processing, platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake, and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, connect AI solutions to business impact, communicate complex analytics to senior stakeholders, and drive innovation.
