Junior/Middle Test Automation Engineer (Python + Networking)

Location: Remote from Ukraine

What you will do

• Plan, estimate, and execute functional and performance testing, including load and soak testing, to validate scalability, stability, and reliability.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Python-based test automation solutions and contribute to the Performance Test Results Reporting System.
• Prepare and maintain test environments for validation across networking and infrastructure components.
• Analyze results, troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and document defects in detail.
• Collaborate with customer-side engineers and product managers to align testing with product goals and performance requirements.
• Improve testing practices, automation efficiency, coverage, and overall product quality.

Requirements

• 2+ years of test automation experience, including developing and maintaining automated solutions with Python.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, API testing, and Git.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including the TCP/IP stack and common network protocols, plus networking tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump.
• Good Linux knowledge, confidence with the command line, and basic Bash scripting skills.
• Understanding of virtualization environments and experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins.
• Knowledge of test automation approaches and best practices, plus a basic understanding of performance testing, including load and soak testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum and Kanban, and experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Intermediate Strong English level or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience containerizing applications with Docker for testing environments.
• Experience with log aggregation and visualization tools such as Elastic/Kibana and Prometheus/Grafana.
• Experience in network administration.
