Experienced Finance Operations Specialist (AI)

Location: Zurich, Switzerland; the role will move to Baar in 2030

What you will do

• Execute and own Controlling Operations and month-end closing activities with the Controlling Business Partner team.
• Produce, reconcile, and distribute financial and management information for business decision-making.
• Perform account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and maintain a strong control environment.
• Coordinate with Finance, Controlling, Operations, IT, and other stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
• Contribute to simplifying, standardizing, automating, and scaling Finance processes through data, technology, and AI.
• Remain actively involved in recurring day-to-day operations while transitioning processes toward automated and data-driven solutions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Controlling or Finance Operations, preferably in financial services.
• University degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong SAP ERP expertise and a solid understanding of Finance processes, data flows, and month-end closing.
• Knowledge of data warehouses such as Snowflake or Databricks and analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI or Sigma.
• Ability to translate Finance requirements into data, automation, and technology solutions.
• Strong process-improvement and automation mindset, with ownership and a hands-on approach to recurring operational work.
• Ability to remain resilient and reliable under time pressure, particularly during month-end closing.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills and excellent written and spoken English.
• Affinity for Artificial Intelligence and willingness to use AI-enabled tools and ways of working.

Nice to have

• Experience in agent orchestration, including designing and implementing AI agents with Snowflake, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar frameworks.
