What you will do

• Design fine-tuning and adaptation strategies for downstream robotic tasks and embodiments.
• Develop methods that improve robot reliability, robustness, and controllability.
• Build evaluation frameworks for real-world robot performance, including benchmarking and failure analysis.
• Improve inference-time latency, stability, and memory footprint with ML infrastructure partners.
• Apply imitation learning, reinforcement learning, distillation, synthetic data, and curriculum learning.
• Validate models on robots and connect model outputs to physical-world outcomes.

Requirements

• Experience fine-tuning large models for downstream tasks, including RLHF, imitation learning, reinforcement learning, distillation, or domain adaptation.
• Experience with embodied AI, robotics, or real-world machine learning systems.
• Strong interest in evaluation, benchmarking, and failure analysis.
• Ability to debug across the ML stack, from loss curves to robot behavior.
• Interest in rapid iteration using real-world feedback loops and bridging foundation models with physical deployment.
