Senior Full Stack Engineer (WebGL)

Location: Sydney, Australia; hybrid work with regular office events

What you will do

• Design and build customer-facing product features and UI across Dart, Flutter, JavaScript, Rust and WebGL.
• Develop browser-based rendering and interaction for large-scale 3D network models and rich dashboards.
• Evolve the UI and design system for a platform used by multiple expert customer roles.
• Optimize rendering and interaction performance for very large networks and data-intensive components.
• Build shared components, APIs and extension points used by other engineering teams, contributing to system design and architecture.
• Work with Product, Design and Customer Success to turn utility customer needs into reliable solutions.

Requirements

• Strong focus on end-user experience, UI, design systems, performance and 3D rendering.
• Product sense and an engineering approach to complex, open-ended customer problems.
• Experience building responsive interfaces for large or complex datasets.
• Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar technical areas, identify core problems and deliver independently.
• Ability to ship ambitious work incrementally and adapt based on evidence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Outcome-oriented, detail-focused and collaborative approach to delivering polished products that influence large-scale investment decisions.
• Current and unrestricted working rights in Australia are required.

Nice to have

• Experience owning or contributing to a design system, component library or platform SDK used by other teams.
• Deep TypeScript proficiency and experience with modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Graphics, WebGL, GPU or large 3D-scene rendering experience in a browser or desktop client.
• Flutter and Dart experience.
• Consumer product background or experience building dense, stateful tools for expert users, such as CAD, Figma, GIS, IDE or serious data-visualization products.
• Exposure to geospatial systems, utilities, energy, simulation or physics-based platforms; strong mathematical reasoning or mechanical, civil or electrical engineering experience is beneficial.
