CG Supervisor (VFX)

Hybride is a Quebec-based digital visual effects studio founded in 1991, with more than 200 creators and creative spaces in Piedmont and Montreal.

What you will do

• Work with the VFX Supervisor, producers, artists, and other departments to create high-quality visual effects.
• Guide CG departments, set goals, and monitor production processes, progress, results, and quality checks.
• Communicate R&D and pipeline requirements to developers and help design and implement technical and artistic pipelines.
• Coach Technical Directors, anticipate pipeline tool issues, and assist with scene debugging and optimization.
• Maintain efficient technical approaches, workflows, and production flows while ensuring deadlines are met.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of supervisory experience in VFX, film, or television, with responsibility for artistic and technical quality.
• Strong CG skills across modeling, texturing, look development, rigging, and animation, plus complete mastery of 3D production stages and a good understanding of the 2D pipeline.
• Proven experience with complex creatures from modeling through final rendering and in-depth knowledge of assets.
• In-depth understanding of the technical and creative aspects of 3D animation production.
• Experience leading and managing teams, assigning tasks, motivating colleagues, and sharing knowledge.
• Excellent organization, communication, project management, and attention-to-detail skills; ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Very good proficiency with Houdini and Maya.
• Positive attitude and team spirit.

Nice to have

• Good proficiency with Arnold.
• Knowledge of Python.
