Internal Audit Assistant Manager (IT)

What you will do

• Plan and deliver IT audits independently, including scope definition, risk assessment, fieldwork, stakeholder discussions, and evidence-based reporting.
• Investigate root causes, control weaknesses, business impact, and sustainable improvement opportunities.
• Assess technology, security, and IT general controls and communicate practical findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Build relationships with technology, security, operational, and senior stakeholders across the global organisation.
• Coordinate third-party audit providers, monitoring expectations, progress, quality, bottlenecks, and assigned work.
• Support Head of Internal Audit-led and operational audits while using technology, data, and AI-enabled tools to improve audit quality and insight.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in IT audit, technology risk, cybersecurity, controls, GRC, consulting, or a related area, with substantial exposure to technology environments and assurance work.
• Practical understanding of systems, technology risks, and controls, including assessment of weaknesses and business impact.
• Ability to manage an IT audit or clearly owned workstream with autonomy, structure, and accountability.
• Confident communication with technical teams and senior non-technical stakeholders.
• Curiosity, professional rigour, empathy, flexibility, commercial awareness, and a collaborative approach to practical recommendations.
• Professional-level English and the right to work in the location where you apply.

Nice to have

• Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical technology experience.
• Hands-on experience in cybersecurity, IT audit, IT general controls, technology risk, GRC, process improvement, or technology consulting.
• Experience maturing control environments and embedding sustainable practices.
• CISA, CIA, or another relevant technology, security, risk, or audit qualification.
• Programming experience such as Python or experience using technology to automate or improve analysis.
• Experience evaluating AI-enabled tools, including their value, limitations, and appropriate use.
• Experience working with external or co-sourced audit providers.
