Data Scientist Marketing (Machine Learning)

Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands; after the first 3 months, work 2 days remotely and 3 days in-office weekly.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and expand predictive marketing models from initial concept through production.
• Develop models predicting each new user's value during their first 90 days.
• Achieve a Spearman rank correlation of at least 0.50 and binary model AUC of at least 0.75 within 9 months.
• Deploy and operate machine learning models in production, monitoring data and model health to identify required interventions.
• Use Claude Code to accelerate development while validating all generated output.

Requirements

• Experience building predictive models with traditional machine learning, such as XGBoost.
• Python development experience and the ability to build the data pipelines required by models, including from scratch.
• Experience deploying machine learning models to production and keeping them operational.
• Experience performing deep dives into data and model health to determine where intervention is needed.
• Daily use of AI tools such as Claude Code, with a clear understanding of their limitations.
• Fluent English.
