Motion Graphics Designer (Game Publishing)

Location: El Segundo, California, US; hybrid work in the office 2–3 days per week

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually

What you will do

• Create 2D and 3D motion graphics, trailer edits, title sequences, logo animations, social videos, patch highlights, tutorials, and community content.
• Animate titles, slates, backgrounds, character art, and 3D assets from concept through final composition.
• Develop storyboards, mockups, prototypes, and timing cuts while collaborating with brand, content, visual design, community, and game capture stakeholders.
• Perform post-production, including color grading, audio synchronization, compositing, key-framing, typography, photography, and VFX.
• Optimize video outputs for multiple platforms and publication formats.
• Organize video files, project archives, version control, and delivery formats.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in motion graphics and digital video production.
• Experience with editing and online video distribution.
• Experience in the game publishing or SaaS industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in multimedia, film, and/or video production, or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop.
• Strong working knowledge of Cinema 4D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong project and time management skills, including managing concurrent projects and establishing clear goals, timelines, and processes.
• Strong familiarity with social media platforms, including Instagram and TikTok, plus excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with videography and digital filmmaking.
• Experience with game capture and game camera operation.
• Knowledge of current social media trends and modern practices.
• Experience designing, animating, and compositing pixel art.
• Active or previous experience playing MapleStory.
