3D Modeling & Texturing Internship (Houdini)

Location: In-person, onsite in Draper, Utah, for summer 2024; legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

hirify.global is an independent animation studio creating content and workflows for social media, film, television, toys, and games while developing original intellectual properties.

What you will do

• Create stylized characters, environments, and props.
• Develop ideas and block in models from sketches and concept art.
• Perform hard-surface, organic, and cloth modeling, including retopologizing.
• Unwrap and texture assets using the required digital content creation tools.
• Prepare presentation lighting and posing while following design guidelines and technical constraints.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Maya, Houdini, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of Houdini-based procedural modeling and texturing techniques and workflows.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to take constructive criticism and apply feedback.
• Ability to solve visual and technical problems, manage multiple tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Proactive approach and good written and verbal communication skills.
