Compliance Manager (SaaS)

What you will do

• Run KYC and due diligence checks covering identity, ownership, sanctions, PEPs and adverse media, applying risk-based enhanced due diligence rules and maintaining audit-ready records.
• Manage UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 compliance, including records of processing, DPIAs, retention, data subject requests, supplier terms and personal data incidents, including ICO notification decisions within 72 hours.
• Maintain the ISO 27001 ISMS with the Information Security Team and lead surveillance and recertification audits, including client security and compliance questionnaires.
• Own the business risk register, coordinate risk treatment and reporting, and run the annual internal audit programme through closure of findings.
• Keep compliance policies current, deliver awareness training, and report compliance status and open risks to leadership.
• Use AI tools to draft policies, review questionnaires and contracts, gather audit evidence, track regulatory change, automate repetitive checks and help govern hirify.global’s use of AI.

Requirements

• 3+ years in a compliance, risk or information governance role, ideally in SaaS, fintech or another regulated technology business.
• Working knowledge of KYC checks, including sanctions, PEP and beneficial ownership screening and the tools used to perform them.
• Hands-on experience with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, including DPIAs, data subject requests, breach handling and supplier due diligence.
• Experience running or supporting an ISO 27001 ISMS through certification and surveillance audits.
• Experience managing a business risk register and conducting internal audits.
• Daily use of AI tools with real examples of improving work speed or quality.
• Clear writing and the ability to explain compliance requirements to engineers, salespeople and clients.

Nice to have

• ISO 27001 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification.
• CIPP/E or CIPM certification.
• AI training credentials such as IAPP AIGP or an ISO/IEC 42001 Lead Implementer course.
• Experience with AI governance, including the EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001 or the NIST AI Risk Management Framework.
