System Vulnerability Analyst 3 (Cybersecurity)

Location: Fort Meade, Maryland, United States; OCONUS travel is required.

Salary: $131,000–$161,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Identify vulnerabilities and attacks affecting system operations and supported missions across hardware, software, personnel, procedures, logistics, and physical security.
• Compare system attack techniques and develop operationally effective countermeasures.
• Produce formal and informal reports, briefings, and perspectives on actual and potential attacks.
• Exploit captured media and investigate computer security incidents to derive intelligence and enable mitigation of network vulnerabilities.
• Analyze data from multiple sources to identify malicious or unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, with relevant experience: doctoral degree plus 4 years, master’s degree plus 6 years, bachelor’s degree plus 8 years, or associate degree plus 10 years.
• Relevant experience in computer or information systems design and development, programming, computer or network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, or systems engineering.
• Blue Team, Purple Team, or Defensive Cyber Operations experience is required.
• Comfort with log analysis, endpoint detection and response, network analysis, network anomaly detection, IOCs, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and NIST CSF policy.
• Ability to analyze data from various sources to discover malicious or unauthorized activity.
• Relevant military training may count toward required experience, including JCAC, UCT, NWBC/INWT, and Cyber Defense Operations, according to the stated course-duration equivalencies.
• Information Assurance Certification may be required.
• Ability to travel OCONUS.
