Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Linux and Networking)

Global algorithmic trading firm operating across market research, strategy design, algorithm development, software engineering, and infrastructure evolution.

What you will do

• Deploy and maintain bare-metal servers at company sites, including BIOS/UEFI, firmware, out-of-band management, and operating systems.
• Build and maintain network infrastructure covering BGP/OSPF, policy-based routing, VPNs, FortiGate firewalls, links, and data-center cross-connects.
• Monitor and troubleshoot servers, networks, and communication links, including participation in the on-duty rotation.
• Tune server and network performance through kernel and NIC tuning, IRQ affinity, CPU isolation, bonding, kernel bypass, time synchronization, and multicast delivery.
• Automate infrastructure and configuration management with Ansible, Terraform, and GitLab CI; manage changes through repositories and code review.
• Maintain AWS and Alibaba Cloud infrastructure and produce runbooks, network diagrams, and inventory documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an infrastructure, network, or SRE engineer with production responsibility.
• Experience deploying and maintaining bare-metal servers.
• Deep Linux knowledge, including networking stack technologies, systemd, kernel and NIC tuning, and analysis tools such as perf, strace/bpftrace, ethtool, and tcpdump.
• Deep networking knowledge covering TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, PBR, IPsec, and multicast.
• Hands-on experience with hardware routers, switches, and firewalls such as FortiGate, Cisco, Arista, or similar.
• Experience writing Ansible roles and Terraform modules and applying infrastructure as code.
• Systematic approach to incident diagnostics.
• English at B2+ level for documentation and vendor communication.

Nice to have

• Experience tuning servers and network equipment for microsecond-level latency, including Onload, PTP, and hardware timestamping.
• Cloud networking experience in AWS and Alibaba Cloud.
• Experience with geographically distributed networks, carriers, link providers, and data centers.
