Senior Contracts Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: 100% on-site in El Segundo, California, United States; travel up to 10% as needed.

Base salary: $155,000–$175,000 per year, plus stock options and/or long-term cash awards.

hirify.global develops commercial space infrastructure, including in-orbit pharmaceutical processing, hypersonic reentry capsules, heat shields, and satellite buses, with facilities in El Segundo, Washington, DC, and Huntsville.

What you will do

• Manage the full contract lifecycle for government and commercial customers, from pre-award strategy and proposal support through negotiation, execution, and closeout.
• Represent Varda in contracting discussions and lead or support negotiations while protecting the company’s interests.
• Draft, review, and negotiate NDAs, customer agreements, partnership agreements, and other contracts.
• Maintain compliance with the FAR, DFARS, NASA FAR Supplement, and export-control regulations.
• Coordinate mission management, operations, proposals, sales, product, and leadership around signed contracts and regulatory obligations.
• Manage closeout activities, including final deliveries, payments, open issues, and accurate contract records; advise leadership on contractual rights and obligations.

Requirements

• BA/BS in law, business, finance, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• 4–6 years of hands-on contract management experience, primarily with government contracts.
• Experience with Firm Fixed Price and Other Transaction Authority agreements.
• Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and NASA FAR Supplement compliance.
• Experience negotiating NDAs and presenting persuasive written and verbal arguments in negotiations.
• Experience handling export-controlled materials under ITAR and EAR.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet aggressive deadlines.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
• U.S. person status is required to access export-controlled technology; candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals.

Nice to have

• Active Top Secret/SCI-eligible clearance.
• Experience structuring commercial agreements in dual-use or regulated technology environments, including IP licensing, data rights, or export-controlled deliverables.
• Experience with spacecraft integration, satellite manufacturing, or GMP/regulated pharmaceutical production.
