Linux System Administrator for Cloud Infrastructure & Virtualization (m/f/d) in Prague

Location: Prague, Czech Republic. Full-time hybrid work; during probation, office attendance is required four days per week, followed by up to 60% remote work.

What you will do

• Deploy cloud and virtualization technologies such as Apache CloudStack, Proxmox and KVM into production.
• Develop and implement automated solutions for requirements beyond existing standards.
• Analyse and resolve system failures, incidents and disruptions, identifying root causes.
• Plan and execute system-landscape migrations, including dependency analysis, technical modelling and CI/CD-based rollout strategies.
• Automate and document disaster recovery, patching and deployment processes while coordinating with other teams and maintaining knowledge bases.
• Test and simulate operational procedures, manage rollbacks and communicate with users to ensure reliable routine operations.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with cloud and virtualization technologies in Linux environments, including Apache CloudStack, Proxmox, KVM, Ansible and Terraform.
• Ability to analyse technical challenges independently and implement automation approaches using tools such as Python and PowerShell in CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise in incident and fault diagnosis, logging, monitoring and orchestration tools, including ELK, Prometheus and Ansible.
• Deep systemic understanding of complex dependency structures and experience planning and automating migrations and rollouts.
• Reliable and diligent approach to operations, with systematic change and release management using Jira, ITSM and Git, plus confident use of rollback mechanisms.
• Willingness to perform on-call duties, remain calm under time pressure and communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluency in English required.
