Mechanical Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States; onsite at Schriever Space Force Base

Salary: $80,000–$90,000 per year

What you will do

• Support systems engineering processes for problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation of complex systems.
• Participate in test engineering efforts and provide recommendations for system development, improvement, optimization, and support.
• Analyze, evaluate, and summarize detailed system performance characteristics.
• Evaluate software modifications to identify causes of malfunctions and changes in system requirements.
• Develop schematics, drawings, technical reports, evaluation plans, test results, and technical procedures.
• Travel as needed and provide ad hoc engineering support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 0–2 years of related experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.

Nice to have

• Experience with C++, Python, and MATLAB.
• Experience designing test procedures.
• Familiarity with systems engineering processes, requirements generation, and concept of operations documentation.
• Analytical ability to comprehend complex systems.
• Team-oriented, thorough, detail-oriented, and organized approach with strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
