Senior Principal Sourcing Manager – Capital Equipment

Location: San Jose, California, United States; other location: California

Salary: $190,000–$240,000 per year, depending on experience, level, and business need; discretionary bonus, incentives, and benefits may apply.

What you will do

• Lead sourcing and procurement for capital equipment, including lab, test, and infrastructure equipment, as well as IT hardware, related services, and selected corporate services.
• Manage end-to-end sourcing processes, including supplier identification, RFQs/RFPs, cost analysis, negotiations, selection, contracting, and award.
• Partner with engineering, IT, facilities, operations, Finance, and legal stakeholders to align technical requirements, budgets, savings initiatives, and contractual terms.
• Manage supplier onboarding, performance tracking, issue resolution, purchase order execution, and delivery tracking.
• Drive cost savings, value engineering, cycle-time improvements, procurement compliance, and alignment with global preferred vendors and contracts.
• Provide insights on supply market dynamics, pricing trends, and sourcing risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
• Demonstrated experience sourcing hardware, capital equipment, or technical products and services.
• Experience managing RFQs, negotiations, supplier selection, and contracting.
• Strong operational execution skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with procurement systems such as Coupa, Oracle, SAP, or similar.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting semiconductor, hardware, or data center environments.
• Experience sourcing lab equipment, test equipment, or IT infrastructure.
• Exposure to corporate services sourcing, including facilities, logistics, or professional services.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to ramp quickly and operate independently in a high-growth environment.
