Process Engineer I (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Facilitate technology transfer of client processes and execute process design, scale-up, documentation, and engineering activities.
• Lead batch record and process activities for client formulation and filling operations, including equipment preparation, bulk formulation, sterile filtration, and filling support.
• Act as a subject-matter expert for GMP investigations, including CAPA, departures, and CCRs, from initiation through closure.
• Specify process equipment, author equipment-operation instructions, and document process flows for cleanroom operations.
• Develop procedures, provide training on SOPs and work instructions, and guide supporting team members.
• Communicate engineering progress directly to clients and collaborate with internal functions while maintaining safety and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is preferred; process engineering experience is preferred.
• Experience with aseptic fill/finish is preferred.
• Ability to work with moderate supervision, take initiative, communicate effectively with clients and internal departments, and maintain a meticulous, organized approach.
• Strong attention to detail and familiarity with aseptic technique and cleanroom personnel flows are desirable.
• Working knowledge of process engineering aids such as sanitary connections, valves, and pharmaceutical process design.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain gowning certification; media qualification may also be required.
• May be required to wear a respirator.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of process flows, including disposable strategies, filtration, mixing strategies, and fluid transfer between vessels.
• Experience with aseptic fill/finish and pharmaceutical or biotech process engineering.
