Spacecraft Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Westminster, Colorado, with other locations in Longmont, Colorado; U.S. Person status required

Salary: $74,000–$98,000–$107,800 annually in Colorado; other states use location-specific market ranges.

What you will do

• Support early operations and sustainment operations for hirify.global’s spacecraft constellation by maintaining spacecraft health and safety, optimizing performance, and resolving anomalies.
• Develop tools and methods for trending spacecraft health and performance metrics, concept-of-operations materials, and anomaly-resolution processes.
• Assist with spacecraft commissioning plans and tools, launch and mission rehearsals, and operational documentation.
• Support the design, development, integration, and testing of future spacecraft, including requirements definition, design reviews, and clean-room activities.
• Provide spacecraft operations expertise to other business segments and assist with ground software requirements.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and willing and able to obtain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field; four additional years of experience may substitute for the degree.
• At least two years of operations or aerospace-related experience.

Nice to have

• Experience as a spacecraft systems engineer or subsystem engineer.
• Experience with Unix/Linux, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and GitHub.
• Spacecraft operations experience and strong computer language skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication, problem-solving skills, and a calm disposition in stressful situations.
