Product Owner / Product Manager (AI Factory)

Location: Mannheim, Germany; the role is based at the headquarters with mobile office and flexible working time models.

What you will do

• Own the product vision and roadmap for data and AI products, aligning them with business strategy and AI Factory goals.
• Manage the financial performance, value delivery, growth, and applicable P&L impact of products.
• Manage multiple AI use cases and products from ideation and MVP through scaling, aligned with customer needs and business priorities.
• Promote AI solutions internally, engage business units, and secure buy-in for use-case collaboration.
• Define and prioritize product backlogs, epics, and user stories with a focus on measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with customers, Agile Coaches, Data Scientists, Engineers, and stakeholders while supporting governance, portfolio reviews, and AI Factory reporting.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, ideally in corporate AI/ML environments or with data-driven products.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience managing multiple products or workstreams simultaneously in complex, matrixed organizations.
• Strong stakeholder management and internal consulting skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across diverse business units.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Analytical mindset and ability to analyze data to drive product decisions and improvements.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Fluency in English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML product development.
• Advanced degree or certifications such as CSPO or PSPO.
• German language skills.
