Delivery Manager (AI)

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid flexibility with regular on-site work Monday–Thursday and travel as required

What you will do

• Design and operationalize Transformation Offices, including governance structures, performance cadences, and accountability systems.
• Lead workstreams end-to-end, translating strategic ambitions into initiatives, milestones, and KPIs.
• Identify and deliver performance levers across cost, productivity, procurement, working capital, and growth to improve EBITDA and financial performance.
• Redesign operating models, governance systems, and performance management routines to embed sustainable impact.
• Coach executives, build transformation capabilities, and mobilize client teams for lasting change.
• Collaborate with McKinsey strategists, functional specialists, digital experts, partners, and small client teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, or engineering with a strong academic record.
• 5+ years of experience in project delivery and project management or PMO implementation, preferably in consulting.
• Industry background in banking, energy, including oil and gas, exploration and production, or natural gas, or telecommunications.
• Proven experience in business transformation or business change initiatives, including capability building, digital transformation, Transformation Office setup and execution, operational excellence, turnaround execution, finance transformation, or supply chain transformation.
• Strong, pragmatic problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a flexible, agile consulting environment.
• Native-level Romanian and fluent English language skills are required.
• Hybrid working model with flexibility to travel as required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-related solutions such as analytics, automation, or AI-enabled tools.
• Private-sector experience, including financial services and insurance, mining, industrials, or FMCG.
• German and/or Hungarian language skills.
