Delivery Manager (Business Transformation)

Location: Johannesburg; based in the McKinsey office.

What you will do

• Lead transformation projects and build the capabilities, systems, and processes needed to deliver and sustain measurable business results.
• Work closely with clients’ senior management and specialist departments through delivery assurance engagements.
• Lead, coach, and motivate consultants and client employees throughout each project.
• Act as a subject matter expert, applying problem-solving skills to derive business insights and recommendations.
• Contribute to the growth strategy of the Delivery groups and the development of the firm.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or a similar field, with a strong academic record.
• 5+ years of experience in project management, including some experience in a consulting environment.
• Strong problem-solving ability and experience developing and delivering large-scale business-unit transformation projects, including turnarounds, restructurings, capability building, organizational structures, and Transformation offices.
• Experience leading client workshops and building teams.
• Experience empowering and coaching team members and clients to achieve impact.

Nice to have

• Expertise in Mining Operations, Telco, or Financial Services.
• Experience in organizational development, including organizational design, setup, and talent management, and/or productivity and performance improvement.
