Middle Backend Developer (Java/Kotlin)

Location: Remote from Georgia, Kazakhstan, or Thailand

What you will do

• Develop a Big Data platform and tools for data ingestion from business systems into an analytical data warehouse.
• Maintain and optimize data storage.
• Integrate analytics services and tools into the data platform.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
• Contribute to technical discussions, design decisions, and architecture.

Requirements

• Professional experience at the middle level.
• Hands-on experience with Java and/or Kotlin.
• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Experience with Apache Kafka.
• Experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL.
• Proactive mindset, ownership of tasks, and willingness to contribute to technical and architectural decisions.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, receive feedback, and grow with guidance from the Tech Lead.

Nice to have

• Rust and/or Python.
• Apache Spark.
• S3-compatible object storage.
• Experience with distributed systems and Big Data technologies.
