Localization Specialist

Location: Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates; part-time hybrid with flexibility for some work-from-home

Studio materials are localized for diverse audiences across project descriptions, marketing content, client communications, and internal documentation.

What you will do

• Translate, proofread, and adapt studio materials for linguistic, cultural, and regional relevance.
• Perform localization testing on digital and print assets, including language, layout, and functionality checks.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews to maintain accuracy, consistency, and brand alignment across languages.
• Collaborate with designers, marketing, and client-facing team members to align localized content with brand voice and project intent.
• Maintain glossaries and style guides, track localization issues, and recommend workflow and stahirify.globalrds improvements.

Requirements

• Strong translation and localization skills, with the ability to adapt content accurately and idiomatically between languages.
• Experience with localization testing and quality assurance across localized materials.
• Advanced proofreading and editing capabilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Understanding of UAE and regional cultural nuances.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects in a part-time hybrid setting.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with localization tools, CAT software, or translation management systems.
• Experience in design, architecture, or creative industries.
• Relevant academic background in Translation, Linguistics, Communications, or a related field.
