Senior Information Systems Security Officer - ISSO

Location: Herndon, Virginia; based out of the Herndon, VA office with potential local travel to other sites.

Salary: $160,000–$220,000 USD annualized.

What you will do

• Work with the Corporate ISSM and CSO to build, architect, and accredit classified information systems.
• Achieve accreditation and maintain compliance for the Herndon program.
• Act as the information security liaison between the program, customer, and security team.
• Support the Risk Management Framework as an advisor to the ISSM.
• Complete STIG checklists and POA&Ms, review data transfers, and conduct weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly audits.
• Conduct continuous monitoring and create or maintain security policies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working as an ISSO in a classified environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced professional industry certifications may substitute.
• Required 8140 certification, such as Security+, GCISP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP+, CISM, or CISSP.
• Working knowledge of Splunk, SNOW/ServiceNow, and Talon.
• Working knowledge of DAAPM, JSIG, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-171, and related government regulations.
• Advanced understanding of security compliance matrices.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for Poly is required.

Nice to have

• Operating system certifications such as LPIC, Linux+, RHCSA, or Microsoft Administrator certifications.
• Working experience primarily with Windows and some experience with Linux environments.
• Active TS/SCI with Poly.
