Software Engineering Group Lead for eManager and Result Analysis Platform (Semiconductor Inspection)

Location: Hsinchu, Taiwan; hybrid work model aligned with local team policy. This is a Taiwan local hire role.

What you will do

• Lead the engineering team responsible for eManager and related Result Analysis products within the UIRecipe domain.
• Own product maintenance, defect resolution, customer escalations, release readiness, quality improvement, and long-term maintainability.
• Guide the evolution of offline inspection and metrology result analysis, including wafer maps, defect lists, GDSView, charting, ADC-related analysis, and massive data workflows.
• Coordinate development, integration testing, SQA validation, engineering patches, release branches, Jira/AIR tickets, risks, and customer issues.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, ML-Ops, URE, Result Manager, CCF, SQA, Planner, field, product, and platform teams on integrations and dependencies.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop engineers while improving code quality, testability, documentation, architecture, and technical-debt management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience, preferably in complex product software or enterprise application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with C#/.NET application development, especially Windows applications using WinForms, WPF, or related UI frameworks.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, object-oriented design, design patterns, API integration, system integration, and the software development lifecycle.
• Proven experience leading software engineers through technical guidance, task planning, mentoring, and performance feedback.
• Experience maintaining and evolving mature software products with active customer usage and field-escalation pressure.
• Strong debugging, root-cause analysis, issue triage, and performance-analysis capabilities across UI, backend logic, data flow, and system-integration boundaries.
• Experience collaborating with planners, SQA, architects, field teams, system teams, and product teams, with strong communication skills for translating technical topics into execution plans.
• Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under United States Export Administration Regulations before beginning work.

Nice to have

• Experience with eManager, Result Manager, RERA, inspection or metrology result analysis, or semiconductor inspection workflows.
• Experience with large-scale data handling, database-backed analytics, DuckDB, SQL-based processing, or data visualization.
• Experience with wafer maps, die maps, defect lists, GDSView, charting, or inspection and metrology analytics.
• Experience modernizing web technologies such as React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5/CSS, or web-based application architecture.
• Experience with release planning, engineering patch delivery, SQA coordination, customer escalations, technical-debt reduction, refactoring, architecture modernization, or legacy product transformation.
• Experience with Jira, Bamboo, Bitbucket, code review processes, CI/CD pipelines, and software quality gates.
• Ability to develop domain knowledge and coach engineers on product behavior and customer workflows.
