Senior Azure Architect (Security)

Location: Austria, partially remote

Salary: From EUR 80,000 gross annually, all-in, for 40 hours per week

What you will do

• Lead customer workshops and technical discovery sessions in German, translating business and security requirements into secure, scalable solutions.
• Design and implement end-to-end Microsoft Sentinel architectures, including connectors, Log Analytics workspaces, analytics rules, playbooks, workbooks, and role models.
• Develop and maintain Azure Logic Apps for security automation, enrichment, and integrations with ticketing, ITSM, and notification systems.
• Configure Azure security and identity controls, including Entra ID RBAC, custom roles, PIM, managed identities, app registrations, service principals, and Conditional Access.
• Design monitoring, logging, licensing, and cost-optimization strategies for large-scale Azure environments.
• Implement GitHub CI/CD pipelines, maintain technical documentation and runbooks, and create architecture diagrams.

Requirements

• Several years of hands-on Azure architecture experience, ideally focused on security and monitoring.
• Substantial experience with Microsoft Sentinel or Azure Data Lake.
• Strong development background in automation, scripting, and integration.
• Experience in customer-facing workshops, consulting, and solution design.
• Fluent German at C1/C2 level is required for workshops, architecture presentations, and documentation for German-speaking customers.
• Good English at B2+ level is required for international collaboration, technical documentation, and global projects.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Sentinel and KQL, Azure Logic Apps and integration, Azure security and identity, Azure monitoring and logging, and GitHub-based CI/CD and DevOps.
