Director, Program Management - Liquid Propulsion (Aerospace)

Salary: $184,000–$341,500 per year in California

What you will do

• Lead a portfolio of defense programs supporting liquid propulsion production and development.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership for cost, schedule, technical performance, and execution objectives.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Identify and mitigate program risks while driving continuous improvement.
• Contribute to strategic planning and future growth initiatives within the THAAD and Strategic Systems Sector.
• Lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 15 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree and at least 13 years of related experience, or at least 19 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Many positions require the ability to obtain a security clearance; clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.

Nice to have

• Significant experience leading complex defense programs in production and/or development environments.
• Leadership experience managing portfolios, teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Understanding of program execution, financial management, customer engagement, and risk management.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and strategic planning skills.
• Experience with missile, strategic systems, propulsion, energetics, or related defense programs.
• Experience in Department of Defense program environments and with large-scale, high-visibility customer programs.
• Experience with advanced aerospace propulsion assemblies using liquid propellants.
