VP, Commissioning & Validation (AI Infrastructure)

Location: US

Base salary: $260,000–$450,000 USD annually, plus potential bonus, equity, and/or commission.

What you will do

• Own and version-control a global commissioning script library covering L1–L5 and integrated systems testing, with controlled UL/NEC and IEC regional variants.
• Define and run global Factory Acceptance Testing for critical equipment, including UPS, MV switchgear, chillers, CDU skids, electrical power modules, and cooling-plant modules.
• Co-own controls testing with the controls engineering team, including sequence-of-operation, BMS/EPMS point-to-point, and alarm tests.
• Issue commissioning certificates and hold authority over readiness, acceptance, script deviations, open critical items, and reductions in test scope.
• Build and lead a four-person central team while directing delegated site commissioning, integration, and third-party commissioning networks.
• Set and manage performance against escape rate, FAT coverage, first-pass yield, and ready-for-service milestone KPIs.

Requirements

• 12+ years of commissioning experience in hyperscale critical facilities.
• Deep electrical expertise across MV, UPS, and busway systems, including NETA practice, protection verification, and relay coordination.
• Strong expertise in liquid-cooled mechanical plants, including chillers, CDUs, dry coolers, and fan walls.
• Experience running Factory Acceptance Testing programs inside OEM factories.
• Hands-on experience with both UL/NEC and IEC standards across multi-region programs.
• Experience leading small expert teams that direct large delegated-execution networks.
• Credibility with lenders’ independent engineers and customer acceptance teams.
• Willingness to stop shipments, fail acceptance gates, and document decisions without exception.
