Sr. Electrical Engineer (Medtech)

Location: Onsite in Newton, Massachusetts, United States. Candidates must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not available for this role.

Salary: $108,000–$162,000 annually in U.S. locations, excluding Puerto Rico and specific California locations.

What you will do

• Design, develop, integrate, and test mixed-signal systems and circuits for medical devices in compliance with standards such as IEC 60601.
• Create specifications, schematics, component selections, and PCB layouts while collaborating with mechanical, software, firmware, systems, and clinical research teams.
• Analyze, develop, and test real-time digital signal processing algorithms.
• Verify hardware conformance, support reliability activities, and design or modify products.
• Plan technical projects, define timelines and deliverables, and identify and mitigate risks.
• Mentor team members and contribute to technology development from concept through product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 0 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with all phases of mixed-signal board design, including architecture, circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, PCB layout, and design verification.
• Strong fundamentals in electrical signals and systems, including frequency-domain representations, circuit analysis, and discrete-time systems.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at hire and for the duration of employment; sponsorship is offered only for Principal-level roles and above.
• For bachelor’s degrees earned outside the United States, the degree must satisfy 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and network analyzers for integration, debugging, and testing.
• Ability to work in an agile development environment.
• Interest in cardiac electrophysiology and new technologies, with the ability to learn and apply new tools and techniques quickly.
• Accuracy and precision in technical work.
