Postdoctoral Research Associate - Biological Sciences

Location: Full-time, in-person position based on hirify.global’s main campus in Stephenville, Texas, United States. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, or as required by project needs.

Target base annual salary: $60,000, negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience.

What you will do

• Conduct meta-analytical research on native plant adaptation to global change drivers, particularly invasive species.
• Lead large-scale data synthesis projects and collaborate on field research in plant ecology and evolution.
• Collaborate with Dr. Gianoli or a designee on grant proposals.
• Assist the principal investigator and students with field research projects.
• Present research results at regional and national scientific meetings and conferences.
• Build collaborative links with plant ecology and evolution researchers in the United States and abroad.

Requirements

• Conferred PhD in Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, Plant Sciences, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience with large-scale data synthesis projects and publications.
• Ability to conduct original research independently from design through publication.
• Experience with statistical and modeling tools used in meta-analytical studies.
• Clear and accurate oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead data synthesis and field research projects.
• First authorship record on peer-reviewed publications and presentations.
• Outstanding proactivity, organization, and responsibility.
