Senior Data Scientist (Deep Learning)

Salary: $164K–$192K plus equity

What you will do

• Build, train, and evaluate deep learning models on financial data.
• Ship models and components into existing ML pipelines for credit modeling and loss prediction.
• Own projects end to end, from hypotheses and experiments to models in use.
• Run representation-learning experiments, including pretraining and fine-tuning, and assess what worked.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product partners to turn findings into practical solutions.
• Use agentic development tools and build specialized agents to accelerate data science and business workflows.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building and training deep learning models.
• Comfort with modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar.
• Experience applying machine learning to real-world problems, ideally in financial services such as credit, lending, payments, or banking.
• Experience taking a project from an open question to a measurable business outcome.
• Clear, thoughtful communication of technical concepts.
• Ability to collaborate and connect technical exploration with business impact.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience building with LLMs or agent frameworks, or willingness to learn.
