Manager, Software Development (Cloud & Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid role requiring commuting 2–3 days per week to the New York City, NY office

What you will do

• Plan product and engineering roadmaps, backlogs, capacity, resources, estimates, and work plans.
• Lead delivery of software projects on time, within budget, and according to quality, process, and audit standards.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, review solution designs and code, and guide engineers in resolving technical and application problems.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies, manage risks and disruptions, and ensure clear communication with stakeholders and partner teams.
• Coach and develop engineering staff, conduct one-on-ones, manage conflicts, and identify talent and technology gaps.
• Drive application and process improvements, system optimization, customer value, accurate time reporting, and performance and salary reviews.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in commercial enterprise software delivery.
• 3+ years of hands-on cloud technology experience; Azure preferred and AWS accepted.
• Knowledge and experience with cloud security, cybersecurity practices, compliance, data privacy, and security protocols.
• Complete understanding of application development phases and Agile methodologies.
• Deep technical expertise in C#, .NET, Java, or Python, with delivery experience in back-office systems, artificial intelligence, IoT, security, and integration.
• Planning, resource management, time management, communication, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders, guide organizational standards, make reasoned decisions, optimize large-scale systems, and hold teams accountable for customer needs.
• Willingness and ability to coach and mentor less experienced engineering staff.
• Successful completion of the Nlets fingerprinting background assessment.
• Must be able to commute 2–3 days to the New York City, NY office.

Nice to have

• BA/BS or advanced degree in Business, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
