Trade Desk Support Engineer (Night Shift)

Location: Remote; night shift from 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM Central Time (CT)

What you will do

• Provide L1–L3 support for service requests and incidents in a production trading environment.
• Monitor and alert on critical trading system environments.
• Identify and resolve production issues proactively, including complex systems problems.
• Develop scripting tools to improve efficiency, stability, and automation.
• Deploy production infrastructure components.
• Provide off-hours pager support on a rotating schedule.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong working knowledge of UNIX environments and commands.
• Database knowledge with SQL, including MySQL and InfluxDB.
• Strong scripting knowledge with Python and Bash.
• Minimum B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to switch between and track multiple ongoing tasks and issues.
• Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure in a dynamic trading environment, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jira as a ticket or work-request system.
• Experience with Grafana, InfluxDB, or Icinga.
• Linux desktop support experience.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git or Puppet.
• Network troubleshooting and analysis experience.
