Lead Security Automation Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Heredia, Costa Rica

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for security operations, vulnerability management, compliance, and business processes.
• Build and support AI-powered applications, workflows, and services using large language models, cloud technologies, and modern development practices.
• Partner with security teams, engineers, developers, and stakeholders to translate challenges into technical solutions.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize automation, AI, and data-driven services in Amazon Web Services and other cloud-native environments.
• Establish data quality, governance, monitoring, and reporting practices to improve the accuracy, reliability, and trustworthiness of automated solutions.
• Share automation and AI best practices, mentor team members, and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, security engineering, cloud technologies, automation, data engineering, data science, or a related field.
• Experience developing automation solutions, data pipelines, or AI-powered applications using Python, SQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language models, or AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting applications, automation frameworks, or data services in Amazon Web Services cloud environments.
• Knowledge of data quality, governance, monitoring, and evaluation practices for secure, reliable, and auditable solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, a customer-focused mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to learning.
