Information Systems Security Officer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States; onsite support for US Government and DoD missions

Salary: $76.93–$91.35 per hour

What you will do

• Build relationships with technical teams and senior management while communicating complex security topics to varied audiences.
• Implement infrastructure and system security controls, including enhanced detection, vulnerability capabilities, and event correlation for large enterprises.
• Perform risk and vulnerability assessments across network, system, and application environments.
• Use big data analytics and traditional security events to identify advanced threats and indicators of compromise.
• Support the development and implementation of security solutions protecting infrastructure and federal information systems.

Requirements

• Experience supporting major federal information systems and applications.
• Experience with security tools, hardware and software security implementation, communication protocols, or encryption techniques and tools.
• Experience developing Risk Management products and supporting system accreditations.
• Experience interfacing with information assurance managers and reviewing documentation, SSPs, Risk Assessment Reports, C&A packages, and POA&Ms.
• Experience with XACTA IA Manager and Risk Management Frameworks.
• Experience with national security information system requirements, including JSIG, ICD 503, DAAPM, or NISPOM.
• Experience overseeing and executing Assessment and Authorization processes or C&A.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required; selected applicants must undergo a security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for classified information.
• Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of experience in Information Systems Security, or 14+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• DoD 8570 IAM Level I Certification.
