Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Base salary: $75,000–$80,000 annually

What you will do

• Collect and organize control evidence and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Test controls, maintain the findings registry, verify remediation, and report audit status to leadership.
• Run quarterly user access reviews, sample offboarding, and reconcile application and laptop inventories with SSO, billing, and purchasing data.
• Review vendor risk assessments and recommend approval or follow-up before contracts are signed or renewed.
• Draft customer security questionnaire and RFP security responses, improve the AI-assisted answer process, and maintain policy lifecycle records.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in audit, compliance, or governance, risk, and compliance, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of a recognized control framework and how evidence maps to it.
• Experience handling customer security questionnaires and/or RFP security sections end to end.
• Experience building or maintaining a questionnaire answer library.
• Comfort using AI tools to draft compliance answers with review steps.
• Detail-oriented, objective, adaptable, self-directed, reliable, and able to raise concerns clearly while collaborating with control owners.

Nice to have

• Control testing experience, including sample selection, evidence evaluation, and documenting gaps.
• Basic Smartsheet or compliance platform experience.
