Senior Environmental Engineer (Defense)

Location: Hanscom Air Force Base in Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; onsite

hirify.global provides engineering and technical support for Air Force Life Cycle Management Center programs covering communications, battle management, command and control, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, tactical air control, radar, and integrated air and missile defense.

What you will do

• Maintain environmental plans, permits, standard operating procedures, and environmental improvement programs.
• Support environmental remediation and litigation projects, including remediation system design and regulatory applicability assessments.
• Inspect industrial and municipal facilities to evaluate operational effectiveness and compliance with environmental regulations.
• Collect data, prepare project documentation, train staff, and provide administrative project support.
• Define project objectives and targets, report progress, and support budgeting, forecasting, and administration.
• Advise corporations and government agencies on contaminated-site cleanup, environmental policies, standards, planning, quality assurance, safety inspections, and sampling.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the relevant technical or professional discipline.

Nice to have

• Technical and analytical experience with environmental aspects of fielding government systems and Air Force acquisition processes, standards, and guidance.
• Experience with homeland defense ground surveillance capabilities or radar systems.
• Ability to participate in multimedia inspections at complex facilities.
• Strong communication, independent-work, collaboration, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
