Middle Quality Control Engineer (Manual QA)

What you will do

• Define test plans, scope, priorities, scenarios, and test cases while validating user stories, acceptance criteria, business logic, dependencies, and edge cases.
• Prepare test data and perform exploratory, functional, regression, integration, UAT, and end-to-end testing across complex enterprise workflows.
• Test APIs with SoapUI, validate backend data with complex SQL queries, and check XML and other structured data.
• Perform performance testing with JMeter and provide basic Selenium-based test execution support.
• Investigate defects across application, API, database, and log layers using Kibana where required.
• Document test evidence and manage tests, defects, traceability, reporting, and progress in Jira and Zephyr while collaborating with analysts, developers, and support teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 7+ years of professional IT experience, and manual testing expertise.
• Strong test planning and design skills, including acceptance criteria validation, exploratory testing, equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, and static and dynamic testing.
• Experience with Jira and Zephyr for test and defect management and SoapUI for API testing.
• Strong SQL skills, Oracle SQL Developer experience, and the ability to write complex queries for test data preparation and backend validation.
• Experience with Kibana logs, XML and structured data using XML Notepad, Notepad++, or similar tools, and JMeter for performance testing.
• Basic Selenium skills and experience with functional, regression, integration, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and familiarity with ChatGPT or Generative AI for test case optimization.
• Ability to troubleshoot application, API, database, and log layers, with strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• English at B2+ required.
