Postdoctoral Associate (AI/ML)

hirify.global is a cancer research institute conducting computational and experimental studies of cancer genomes in collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

What you will do

• Lead data analysis strategies for research projects, especially AI-driven prediction models for multiple myeloma.
• Develop and evaluate tools for analyzing novel data types.
• Conceive, implement, and test statistical models and analyze experimental data.
• Present results to computational and non-computational audiences.
• Prepare manuscripts, grants, patents, reports, and presentations.
• Teach and mentor junior team members when appropriate.

Requirements

• PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 0–1+ years of post-graduate experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing and validating machine learning models.
• Experience with computational analysis, algorithm development, and statistics.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
• Ability to collaborate with bioinformaticians, wet-lab experimentalists, and clinicians.
• Experience conducting rigorous and reproducible research in a fast-paced environment.
• Fast learning, analytical thinking, creativity, hands-on approach, teamwork, and strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cancer genomics is not required, but willingness to acquire it is imperative.

Nice to have

• Experience with a scientific programming environment such as Python, R, or Matlab.
• Prior experience applying AI/ML methods in cancer.
