Ignition SCADA Specialist

Location: Pasadena, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule. Occasional travel, extra hours during projects and startups, and shared 24/7 after-hours callout are required.

What you will do

• Support, administer, manage, and maintain real-time Ignition SCADA systems used by the Terminals business unit.
• Analyze, design, configure, and implement SCADA applications, SQL databases, reports, graphics, alarms, and data interfaces.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Control Center, Operations, business groups, and IT teams to meet application and reporting requirements.
• Provide SCADA hardware and software support and collaborate on operating-system, database, network, and telecommunications maintenance.
• Analyze AVEVA System Platform implementations and migrate graphics, alarm strategies, object models, tag structures, and reporting capabilities into Ignition.
• Develop reusable Ignition templates, UDTs, tag structures, application models, documentation, procedures, and operational standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• At least 3 years of experience with Ignition SCADA, automation, or real-time systems support.
• Experience writing scripts in Ignition and using Ignition Perspective.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Familiarity with IT, SCADA, and network architectural standards.
• Ability to apply programming principles to modular, reusable, and scalable applications.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, documentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies, work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, follow work rules and schedules, take direction, and work effectively with a team.
• Ability to perform workstation-based typing and mouse work, with occasional moderate lifting of workstations or monitors.
