Associate Business Information Security Specialist (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Manage operational security requests and ServiceNow tickets, including vulnerability triage and hirify.global Unified Descriptor approvals.
• Perform initial vulnerability assessments, evaluate risk and business impact, and coordinate remediation with platform and development teams.
• Support the AUD security product backlog, document architectural decisions, and enable security automation.
• Support security standards, policies, controls, evidence collection, exception handling, and alignment with PCI, ISO, SOC, and GDPR requirements.
• Assist with project security reviews, monitoring use cases, PKI governance, and network security zone assessments under senior engineering guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, IT Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Typically 2–5 years of relevant experience in information security, infrastructure operations, or security engineering, including internships or graduate roles.
• Foundational understanding of infrastructure, operating systems, network security, and vulnerability management.
• Ability to read architectural diagrams, document findings, and follow defined security processes.
• Clear communication, analytical thinking, curiosity, and motivation to learn in a collaborative environment.
• Holds or is willing to obtain a foundational certification such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Azure AZ-900, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or ITIL Foundation.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Basic scripting or automation experience.
• Basic knowledge of cryptography, PKI, and network segmentation.
• Additional cloud, security engineering, ISO 27001, or network security credentials.
