Senior QA Engineer (Embedded & Audio Quality)

Location: Remote from Wrocław or Bielsko-Biała, Poland

Salary: 110–150 PLN/h + VAT on a B2B contract

What you will do

• Run performance tests of an embedded SDK on target devices, covering latency, resource usage, and stability.
• Evaluate speech quality, including intelligibility, naturalness, speaker identity, artifacts, and end-to-end latency.
• Apply and automate objective metrics such as PESQ, ViSQOL, STOI, and WER.
• Design and run subjective listening tests and analyse the results.
• Set up and use acoustic test rigs for repeatable measurements.
• Report findings clearly and in a data-driven way to research and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Experience in QA for embedded, mobile, or audio software.
• Practical knowledge of speech and audio quality metrics, including PESQ, ViSQOL, STOI, WER, or similar.
• Experience organising listening tests or perceptual evaluations.
• Understanding of acoustic measurement setups.
• A good ear and strong attention to detail.
• Fluent English.
• Audio experience is required and is core to the role.

Nice to have

• Background in audio engineering, acoustics, or speech processing.
• Experience with on-device profiling using adb or Perfetto.
• Experience testing speech enhancement, voice conversion, or TTS systems.
